How to get to Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Only 25 kilometers from downtown bangkok, the mammoth Suvarnabhumi International Airport occupies an area of 20,000 rai (8,000 acres) of land in the Bangplee district of SamutPrakan province accessible by via five different routes :

From the north, it can be reached via the eight-lane Bangkok - Chonburi elevated expressway (new route) linked to the passenger terminal;
From the northwest, it is accessible via a six-lane road connecting with the Rom Khlao and King Kaew elevated expressway;
From the south, the airport can be reached via a four-lane road that connects with Bangna - Trat Highway and the Buraphavithi expressway;
From the northeast, it is accessible via a four-lane road that connects with On Nut Road;
From the west, it can be reached via a four-lane road connecting with King Kaew Road (new route) to the passenger termical.

There is also a public train service on the Phayathai - Makkasan - Suvarnabhumi route to an underground railway station underneath the passenger terminal.
